Dear Freedom of Information Coordinator, Under the Freedom of information request, please provide me with the records or excel spreadsheet related to the number of accidents, policies and actions taken for the cases of bullying and harassment occur in Pattison high school in Vancouver with the students by the Vancouver School board. I am willing to pay the $10 application fee by the E-transfer to mail id : foipop@vsb.bc.ca.

If there are problems releasing some portions of the documents requested, please do not withhold release of all the documents, but instead forward those you can release.

Reason for request:

Reason for requesting the records related to

Policies and action taken for the harassment and bullying going on in school by the Vancouver school board is that these records will be used to educate the student about harassment. How they can avoid this. Based on the records I will get to know what are main things which is responsible for bullying and harassment in schools. So, I will focus on those points and educate family and children’s. Student will be taught to stay safe and stay in calm environment. Also, they can go on right track. Bullying and harassment cannot be tolerated at school level, and it should be encouraged to provide a safe, respectful environment to everyone in school. By the count of incidents occur in Pattison high school, if it will be low count than the same policies can be applied to other school in which higher number of cases of bullying occur in other provinces.

    Hi Jasleen, your request idea is really great. It is also very important as harassement and bullying issues in schools have always been present, and very often school boards might overlook it. Getting these records will only promote transperency and make sure the school is taking appropriate measures to address the issue.

    choosing bullying and harassment idea is really good and first of all, Hi Jasleen. Nowadays, students are getting bullied on the basis of status and colors in schools , schools must take actions towards this issue.

    Hello Jasleen, your FOI idea is very valid. After reading you FOI report i really want to the result and reply. As according to me discrimination is one of the key factor behind this. I want to do more search on this topic. thanks for sharing this FOI report.
